Pest Problems in the Aftermath of Hurricane Matthew

As the floodwaters recede following hurricane Matthew and people begin the difficult task of cleanup in and around their homes, they will likely encounter a variety of pest problems. While some of these pest issues are primarily of a nuisance nature. but still distract us from cleanup efforts, other pests can pose a biting/stinging hazard to us and volunteers working in their area. Damage to homes and other buildings can produce conditions favorable to some pests at later times.
