Collapse ▲We are starting to catch the glassy winged sharpshooter, a vector of Pierce’s diseases(PD) in one of our northeast fields. Also, another vector of PD, the leaf hopper Graphocephala versuta is abundant in some of our fields.
Grapes are less than pea size in most fields.Grape berry moth has been observed in a few locations was when caught was in very low numbers.
We have also found three cornered alfalfa hopper in both of our scouting methods, sweeping and sticky traps, for both of our southwestern fields.
For our previous scouting report, please check out Grape Pest Survey 1st Week of June
